Next Meeting: Wednesday 15th March. Stitch Day and alternative programme "Quilting Rulers"

Last meeting was action packed. The completed samples for the "backgrounds for stitching" project- straight stitch, were exhibited within the group and the second background fabric was distributed ready for the blanket stitch samples. The Carol Brown Award was well supported with some beautiful work and congratulations to the winner, an exquisite tiny allotment embroidery.

Alice Fox was our guest speaker in the afternoon and shared with the group some wonderful ideas and talked of her creative approach to textile art work. Samples of the Straight Stitch work are shown below.
