Next Meeting: September 4th, AGM followed by a talk with James Owen Thomas

Our meeting next Wednesday, starts at 10:00am in the Jackson room, just time for you to get a coffee before the AGM at 10:30am.

The 2024/25 Programme has been finalised and booked, and details will be available at the AGM.

The 2024/25 tutors for "Stitching in the Dales" have also been booked and details as well as application forms for their courses will be handed out at the meeting. The places for the courses will be done on a "first come first served basis". There are a limited number of places and we expect to be over subscribed.

At 1:30 we have a talk by James Owen Thomas, who will be one of our tutors at "Stitching in the Dales". James is  a young autistic man, who has become an award winning environmental artist. He is artist in residence for Whitewoods Wellbeing. He has been made a Tree council "Force For Nature" ambassador, and a COP26 "One Step Greener" ambassador. His work has been used to fund raise for charities, including a beach scene raising £10,000 for The Alzheimer's Society. His work is amazing, such a talented and inspirational person. His life story is sensational. We look forward to a fascinating afternoon.

During the day there will be an opportunity to exchange our August pieces "Dark Blue, Precise, Experimental". September's colour and prompt cards will also be drawn for us to work on and exchange on Wednesday 2nd October.
