This should prove to be a very interesting day. The Leeds in Bloom Tapestry panels are found in a corridor of the Leeds Library and we will be given a talk, about an hour long, about the the creation of this wonderful Textile Art. This will be followed by a "Three Dimensional Embroidered Leaves" workshop inspired by the techniques in the panels.
The needle felted landscapes produced at our last meeting under the guidance of Elli Sari-Neate was a new technique for many of our members. Elli was able to guide the beginners and give the more experienced members more detailed pointers with perspective and colour. Elli provided kits and materials and expert tuition and I know has inspired many to continue to develop there own ideas in the median of felting.
The day was also busy with our annual EET (Electrical Equipment Testing), and our appliances are all safe to use for our next season.
