We are looking forward to welcoming Zoe Phillips as our tutor this month. Zoe who works under the name "Deckle and Hide", a name she felt encompassed all elements of her creative practice and provided a dynamic platform for her creative facilitation, has created a custom workshop for GTAG members. Aren't we lucky!
We are a friendly and welcoming group based in the south of the Yorkshire Dales. We enjoy a wide range of stitching, embroidery and other textile arts.

Next Meeting: December 4th, Leather workshop with Zoe Phillips
We are hoping to produce this leather bag for needlework trinkets! How adorable is that! Watch this space for the photos of our work next meeting.
For those ladies who wish to come along and work on their own projects, you are very welcome. During the day we will have time to exchange our Black, Whimsical, Simple, pieces. We will also select December's prompts to work on and swap on January 15th. Don't forget there is no meeting on 1st Jan !
All things festive seemed to be the theme of our stitch day last meeting. It was a very industrious day.

Next Meeting: November 20th, Stitch Day and Rag Wreath Workshop with Judith Barlass
Last meeting, guided by Judth's expert tuition, we tried our hand at "pottery" using cotton cord and scraps of fabric. Cotton pottery is made by shaping a length of cotton rope into a bowl, dish, or mat with your sewing machine, zig-zagging as you go. We were all thrilled with the results of the days work.
Next Wednesday is a members Stitch Day, so please bring along your own projects. As part of our alternative programme, Judith will be kindly showing us how to make a rag wreath.
