 Where has August gone!

This Wednesday, August 16th, our Tutor was Judith Barlass who introduced a number of us to our sewing machine's hem stitch  and twin needles. 

We had a wonderful day on Wednesday, 3rd August, when Kate Slaughter followed up last month's talk about her crafting career with a playful session on preparing backgrounds for future projects.

A pleasant, friendly, helpful and generous tutor, Karen brought with her an enticing array of materials and tools and showed us how to use wax crayons, transfer paints, textile medium, stencils, threads, etc to colour natural and synthetic fabrics to use in time to come.

We all went home full of ideas and inspiration.

Next Meeting: Wednesday August 3rd

 

This meeting there will be plenty going on. There will be a new background for stitch and opportunity to show the cretan stitch samples.

There is a fully booked workshop for Kate Slaughter who will be waxing lyrical about colour and print, while some of us will be continuing with our own stitching.

 The raffle colour is titled "Hot Colours".
