Members enjoyed an excellent lino printing workshop with Catherine. We were provided with a very comprehensive lino printing kit to use during the workshop. The detail in the presentation of the kit was a work of art in itself. Printed tissue paper wrapped round sample fabrics and tied with string.
Catherine was extremely well prepared and gave us a tremendous amount of
information about the technique. A very well organised tutor, she was very
supportive and allowed us to develop our skills and ideas. We made cuts into our
lino to produce our designs which we then used to print cotton bags or other fabrics.
Catherine brought along her shop which enabled us to buy further supplies to use later. Many ladies took advantage of this and there seemed to be a common idea that we could design and print our own Christmas cards.
