Can anyone tell me anything about the history of the fabric used for the back of this quilt. The dates printed on the fabric are 1837 and 1887, and I assume it was a Victorian Jubilee piece.
We are a friendly and welcoming group based in the south of the Yorkshire Dales. We enjoy a wide range of stitching, embroidery and other textile arts.

Next Meeting: October 4th, Dyeing in Plastic Bags
Our next meeting will be our first workshop of the new GTAG programme 2023-2024 - "Dyeing in Plastic Bags" with tutor Judith Barlass.
Judith has been teaching textiles since 2012 covering traditional techniques to more modern textile art. We are looking forward to an exciting day.
Members not joining the workshop are very welcome to come along and stitch.
"Autumn Colours" are for the raffle this month, and next month's background to stitch will be available for collection.
